Stateless Citizens campaign

Partnered with the London Citizens and the British Oversea Citizens (BOCs), CIAC is giving its utmost support to the Stateless Citizens campaign. Meetings and actions have been held to make it loud for the Home Office to be urged to look at the plight the BOCs have been in and respond to make a difference. The Chair of CIAC, Cllr Edmond Yeo has publicly addressed concerns in the meeting with the Immigration Minister, Mr. Phil Woolas on 28 October along with other Chinese community leaders.

We believe that the campaign has successfully drawn the government's attention to positively taking action to resolve the problem. Certainly more work is to follow after this significant meeting on 28 October. For more information, visit http://thestatelesscitizen.blogspot.com/.
