Beef Rendang

Ingrediants
600g Beef (Cut into small pieces)
50g Shallot (Chopped)
50g Garlic (Chopped)
200g Red Curry Paste
300g Red Chilli
20g Turmeric
20g Galanga
20g Lemongrass
10g Fennel
20g Lemon Leaf
Seasoning:
100ml Water
2 tbsp Sugar
1/8 tbsp Salt
1/2 tbsp MSG
100g Dry Coconut (Shredded)
Procedures:
1. Rinse the beef, cut into convenient pieces, blanch them in boiling water for a while. Remove and drain.
2. Pound the ingredients (*) with a blender until it becomes a fine paste.
3. Heat up 100g oil in a preheated wok to saute onion and garlic till fragrant. Add the ingredients (*).
4. Stir fry until aromatic, add the beef pieces then stir fry for another 20 minutes.
5. Pour in water, seasonings and dry shredded coconutand bring to a boil.
6. Simmer over low heat for 1 hour until the beef pieces are thoroughly tender.
7. Lastly, season with salt, sugar and MSG. Remove from heat and ready to serve hot.
