Refugee and Asylum Seeker Support Project
In July 2001, CIAC set up a support service for asylum seekers and refugees. This meant that for the first time we were able to offer ongoing social welfare casework and advocacy for this client group, complimenting CIAC’s traditional expertise in immigration and asylum law. The support project provides sign-posting, advice and support on all aspects of social welfare, including accessing National Asylum Support service (NASS) and mainstream benefits, housing, employment and education.
One-to-one consultation is available only by appointment. Please call 08453 131 868 to book an appointment.
Alternatively if you have access to email, you can contact the Asylum Seeker and Refugee Support Project Worker by writing to ras@ciac.co.uk.
Please note that the RAS project does not assist with legal queries that refugees and asylum seekers may face. You can click here for legal advice for refugees and asylum seekers.
